Path of Exile 2 introduces not just a new campaign and updated graphics, but a comprehensive rework of its class and ascendancy system that promises to significantly change the way players build and personalize their characters. The base classes themselves are more meaningfully distinct. Each of the original seven classes from PoE1 now has a PoE2 counterpart with unique visuals, animations, and attack styles. What this does is reinforce role clarity. Players can now plan builds more effectively without needing third-party tools, which lowers the barrier to creative experimentation.
